In an honor bestowed to few, our very own sommelier extraordinaire: Kate Webber, was selected by Raymond Vineyards to create a one of a kind, limited edition cabernet blend.  Kate’s visit to California’s north coast marks the first time a sommelier from New England was invited to take part in this unique wine making venture!

Kate joined seven other wine experts in Napa to taste and combine varietals such as cabernet, cabernet franc, merlot, and petit verdot,   The result was a sumptuous, full bodied, powerful cabernet created with restaurants like The Bancroft, Gibbet Hill Grill, and Scarlet Oak Tavern in mind!

Seaside Wedding Reception at Scarlet Oak Tavern

We love weddings at Scarlet Oak Tavern and were delighted to host Lindsay and Nick’s wedding over the summer!  Scroll down to see just a few of the beautiful images captured by South Shore Studios.

Lindsay and Nick held their small seaside wedding ceremony at the Old Scituate Lighthouse.

At Scarlet Oak Tavern, they incorporated the nautical theme perfectly with wooden lighthouse decor placed throughout the bar area in the private event space.  Miniature nautical buckets filled with sweets served as favors for their guests to take home.  Beautiful tables-scapes mirrored the soft floral of the bridesmaids’ bouquets.

As guests were seated in the Northcreek private room, they enjoyed local iced seafood, followed by Surf & Turf plates featuring steak and Scituate lobster.   Dessert choices included carrot cake, white chocolate tart or flourless chocolate cake!

Scarlet Oak Tavern’s private event space was the perfect complement to their seaside wedding. providing an intimate setting to celebrate their special day! Best wishes Lindsay and Nick!!
