For the fourth year in a row, our very own Chef Stephen Sherman is participating in the Cohasset Triathlon – Help Find a Cure for Type 1 Diabetes.

But did you know that Chef Stephen is a victim of the disease himself?  Diagnosed in 2006, Stephen has learned the delicate balance of treating his disease, being mindful of what foods he consumes and his level of exercise.

He became intrigued at the idea of a triathlon after seeing his wife complete one.  Soon after, Stephen learned about the Cohasset Triathlon which benefits the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.  It was a perfect fit.

Stephen has not let Diabetes Type 1 get him down.  He works hard in and out of the restaurant and is excited support this event which has raised over $1,050,000 for JDRF!  Click here if you’d like to support Chef Stephen.
