With over 30 years of experience in professional kitchens, Chef Stephen Sherman has found his passion in mentoring the culinary talents that come through his kitchen. At Scarlet Oak Tavern, his kitchen is more than a place of preparation – it’s a space where creativity, technique, and heart come together. He takes pride in sharing the skills and insights he’s gained throughout his career, helping aspiring chefs develop their craft and passion for cooking.

At Scarlet Oak Tavern, his greatest satisfaction comes from seeing people enjoy the food created by him and his team. At home, cooking remains a personal passion—transforming simple ingredients into memorable family moments with his wife and two grown sons.
